What are the implications of this code? Is it always as easy as buying the diesel geek part and installing it? Will it void my warranty that I’ve been relying on to pay for DPF replacements?
this is what i did, then i put the dieselgeek part on afterIf it's still under warranty, why not let VW fix it for free?
Was the problem with yours just that the motor was allowing the flap to exceed the tolerances? Mine seems like the motor has completely failed. I’ve ran the output test in VCDS, VCDS displays that it should be going “on/off”, but I’m seeing no movement from the arm extension from the motor at all.this is what i did, then i put the dieselgeek part on after

so with a bit of self diagnosis I’ve come to the conclusion that it is not the motor failure. Upon re running the intake manifold flap output test, if I put just a little force on the joint or under the arm the motor will engage. I’m taking it into the dealership tomorrow, as mine I found is still covered under warranty. But it is the same dealership that told me other components weren’t covered, but then took the car to a dealership 100 miles away and they told me they were covered and fixed the problems.yeah, my problem was the motor was going too far
yours sounds like outright motor failure
