Hello everyone. I bought my first jetta about 8 months ago. 06 tdi with 142,000 miles on it. It is fun to drive and gets great gas mileage which is nice because it’s basically just a commuter car for work. When I bought the car I was told the turbo was replaced and the EGR was deleted. Check engine light is on so I got a code reader and scanned codes. One was p0299 which I was able to clear and the other being p0401 which I cleared but it continues to come back. Car drives great when the check engine light is off but once it comes back on it goes into limp mode randomly. I’m just wondering where I should start first. I’m still learning about these cars and the engine since this is my first diesel. I have a few pictures of the code reader I will attach as well. Thanks in advance for any help.
