I have a 2007 sprinter with 3.0L. I have been having a plugged DPF and it finally caused something to blow apart in the turbo system. I have checked the intake and boost side into the engine pretty well and it seems all sealed I believe my issue is on the exhaust side near the turbo. I am getting some visible exhaust in the turbo area which is hard to see half buried at the back of the engine. Will i get a p0299 code if the exhaust side has a leak I thought that code was maybe just for the air into the engine side but i guess it is all connected. Any guesses where my exhaust leak may be by the turbo. Could it all go away if I just clean out the DPF which may be forcing a waste gate open or something?? Any thoughts???

I did take the inlet tube off . The inlet fan is producing pressure without any leaks up until after it comes out of the engine to the turbo.

I removed the DPF and I still hear exhaust noise and see some exhaust in the turbo area
