Lots of posts here advising that either the MAP or MAP Wiring (seemingly more common) are bad.

What I don't see is any mention of where the failure point on these wires are so I can more closely inspect. Would hate to chase my tail and find out it is the actuator or N75 or something similar.

So where do these wires fail for starters?

All that I could get was the P0108...I needed to reset the code and did not have time to look at VCDS until I got home. Code didn't come back so far but knowing these cars it will be back soon.

Thanks.

Just posting this here as I'm always surprised by how many guys don't know about the rosstech wiki.
More to that code than just wiring. Anywhere bare wire* takes a hard turn, is exposed to the engine bay, or hangs such that it can get chaffed by engine vibration. So basically almost anywhere.
G71 mentioned here is the MAP sensor itself.
*by "bare wire" I mean not in a jacket - just the wire insulation itself exposed.

Also, if it's actually Limp Mode, you should be able to turn off the car, then upon re-start, you're back to full operation.
Shouldn't have to limp home.
And just in case you haven't seen it, the canonical Limp Mode thread:

Thanks. I know all about that rosstech wiki. I will check the entire length of the wire. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the response. Yep, I know about that turning the key trick. Wish I knew about it years ago though. With my Atoto radio and Torque Pro along with ELM327 I can reset while driving so good there. I just can't figure out a way of doing it without leaving Torque and then coming back.
