My wife and I are on a trip across Canada. We started in late September in BC and drove to the Maritimes to see the fall colours. We are now in South Dakota on our way back. We've covered 12,000 Km so far and are enjoying every km ! My new 2009 Jetta TDI Wagon - 140 HP ( Automatic) has averaged 5.5 L/100 km so far ! It drives like a dream, lots of power and it is much quieter than my previous 2001 Jetta TDI which had 260,000 km when I traded it in ! :)

Great Drive!

I still have very fond memories of driving Montreal - San Diego - Vancouver - Montreal back in '99. My old 87 golf GT did well, except for a broken table bolt (flush with the body of course) on our way down the mountains into San Diego.

Fantastic route, I've been on every one of the roads mentioned.
