Opinions please - Brakes

Just for whatever it's worth I bought a similar set about 4 years ago. The only difference was the rotors were drilled. When I picked up my Passat at the end of May the brake rotors and brake-pads were still working 100% with excellent stopping power.
I had bought mine from someone in London, Ont off eBay as well for a similar cost.

BTW: Dubfamily the seller you are referring to is in the USA and the prices are in US dollars !!!!
Plus shipping of heavy rotors would be very expensive form California !!!!

For the record, my offer still stands. I have a brand new pair of front 312mm rotors available for free, but you also need to take the slightly used coils (four) for a MK5 2006 jetta. I really really really want these out of the garage. I don't have the heart to hand them over to the local scrap guy.

Tasso, thanks but that setup is not compatible with my car, and I'd need larger wheels even if it were, which I don't want.

Rusted Out Rotors on Front and Rear brakes

Except the rotors are almost completely gone. Good pads and crap rotors do not a good combo make.

idparts.com order complete. Went with the ceramic upgrade (for $15US, hard not to justify). All 4 corners. Now have to round up my loaned out calliper reset and 7mm Allen tools, and the wire cup to dress up the rusty bits.

Afterwards, going to book in for a full bleed (unless someone local (KW/C) has a motive/bleed tools, VCDS, and a spare weekend afternoon - beer/coffee on me), since new fluid was due about three years ago. That ought to sort her out.

Should specify, parts are taking a circuitous route to arrive, won't see them for a couple of weeks yet. (Father-in-law is bringing them up from south IN).
