Yea, I got one of those. New turbo, N75, cam and lifters, TB and exhaust. It does add up quickly.

I honestly didn't even go check it out because I think I want Jetta now. But carfax says it's a 1 owner and the price is right so it might be worths someones while to check this thing out...

i paid more than that for my 2dr (a good amount more ... but i totally love it so oh well).

i'd jump all over that if i didnt already have one. just make sure to have thorough pre-purchase inspection.

I went to that dealer to look at some cars he had when I was shopping. All of the ones I looked at there where pretty thrashed. The pictures on Autotrader looked good but when I got there the cars looked woren out....

There are a lot of low-rent used-car lots on S. Santa Fe in Vista. They are not the sort of place I would look for a used car of any kind.

But... if someone is looking for a 2-door Golf TDI, and doesn't mind spending a few thousand to fix it up, that green one might be worth looking at. Just be aware that the previous owner(s) might have used generic 5w30 gas-engine-only oil, that it's probably long overdue for a new TB, that it probably needs brakes and shocks, etc.
