Top Post Dawg
From my other post, here are some of the places I have found over the past year or two which others might find handy. Hopefully this will cut down on traffic asking where to buy certain things in the GTA, etc. I'd like to be able to include listings of where to get things like certain oil or diesel additives. Here is my list so far:
Frisco Auto Parts (kinda like NAPA for VW/Audi specifically)
It seems like their website is down. Here is their contact info:
416-281-1101
1710 Midland Avenue,
Scarborough, ON M1P 3C7
416-736-9595
80 Alexdon Road,
North York, ON M3J 2B3
905-282-9992
1065 Matheson Boulevard East,
Mississauga, ON L4W 3P1
Brian Harrison (fellow TDIClub member) aka Roseland Technical Services
Brian is in Nova Scotia, so shipping will apply, BUT being in Ontario we would only pay GST, so it evens out.
Brian is a great source for general maintenance parts, and just because it isn't listed on his website, doesn't mean he can't get it.

Apparently Brian can get things listed here as well:

ADP Distributors
These guys specialize in Turbos. Not sure on their prices, but it IS a place to start. They also sell things like Beru glow plugs.

Listing of Diesel Service Specialists
This is a list I ran across a while ago. There is an international community geared towards diesels, and this is a listing of members who are service shops in Canada. The hotlink takes you directly to the Ontario directory. This will at least be a start to know shops who have dealt with diesels before.

Precisiontuning.ca
This is one of the newer guys on the block in terms of VW part shops. A lot of people on the Vortex are happy with doing business with Perjad. I've actually picked up a few things from his shop. Prices are pretty good. The shop is kind of tucked away in the corner of the plaza, but once you find it, it's easy to get back to next time. He carries things like filters, oils (redline, Motul, etc...even the 505.01 for the PDs...and he has a bay in the back, so he can do the oilchange for you). Just another option in the VW/Audi parts market. He carries and can get some performance stuff too. From what I see, he doesn't stock a lot of stuff that he can get...so call ahead and talk with him first.

PartsVoice
Have a part number, but don't feel like calling all the VW dealers to find out which ones have the part? Try PartsVoice. It gives you a listing of which dealers have the part you want in stock, and how many are in stock. Past experience shows this site to be pretty accurate. (call ahead before going) BTW, this site is NOT VW specific. You can use it to search any car manuf part number.

I'll leave the site up, but it seems you need a login to use this service. Unless I'm missing something.
Alternate-NRG
In case you have heard of Topia Energy having two biodiesel locations in the GTA, this is the site to find out about where the stations are (and whatever other things Alternate-NRG is into)
http://www.alternate-nrg.com/
I believe this is gone, and no longer supplies the bio-d to stations (and no longer runs them). There are two bio-d locations I'm aware of. Queen and Pape, and TTT (a truck terminals location along the 401 I believe)
The Source
This is a VW wrecker in the GTA.

Petro Canada Depots
In case you are looking for distributors for something like PC Duron or just looking for other things Petro Can related, here is a nice page provided by MacGyver which allows you to search locations local to you.

Alignment
I had to throw this one in. If you are searching for a good alignment shop, I would suggest Woodbridge Alignment. They are on Highway 7, just east of Islington. No lasers, no picking up your car (drive onto the bay), no issues with lowered cars that I have seen. When you leave there, your car drives straight as an arrow. Known issues: These guys are well known, so they are busy. Saturday, they open at 8:00 and close at 1:00. No appointments, no dropping off your car and leaving.

Injector Balancing in Ontario
I stumbled accross these guys a while back. They seem to be geared more towards the diesel pickups, but have knowledge about the TDI powerplant. They also said that they have the equipment to balance BOTH springs in TDI injectors. Wish I would have found these guys a few months ago.
http://www.chathamfuel.on.ca/
EDIT on these guys. I contacted them a little while ago to find out their prices for balancing. It was in the range of $80-90 CAD PER INJECTOR. Yeah, it's a little high.
Link to the FAQ over on the Vortex.
While the Vortex isn't the greatest source of info at all times, this Canadian FAQ isn't bad. All the shops mentioned are recommended by members in general.

Link to similar list on ClubVaper
This is another VW club in the Southern Ontario region. This is a listing of parts/service shops that are either sponsors or have been recommended.

Link to list on the PocketRocket
Yet another club which started in the Southern Ontario region and has spread a little to the US and Internationally. (a lot of people are getting sick of the Vortex)

General Canadian/Ontario Shopping (non-car related)
Just thought I'd help you out with this stuff too.
Best Buys (no, not the electronics store)
This is a listing of current and upcoming warehouse sales in the GTA.

Red Flag Deals
Some insane deals have been had here. The main page isn't all that great, but if you go into the forums area, there is a section called Hot Deals. Most of the deals are either price drops, or price matching, but if it works in your favour, whats the harm?
