only 1 manual transmission Jetta TDI on GA dealer lots?

Went by the Union City, GA dealer today to look at 2013 and 2014 Jetta TDI's but was unable to find a manual transmission on the lot to look at. Sales rep looked in the GA inventory database and was only able to locate 1 in the whole state. What the heck is going on?

Over 80% of cars sold in the US are bought with automatic transmissions. VW no different.

Yes I love my 2002 2 door Golf with a 5 speed manual. I was just lucky to find it as someone had ordered it and did not want it.

I think automatics are the reason people can't merge onto the freeway smoothly.

The only manual Jetta our local dealer has is an S. All the TDIs are automatics.

Pretty sad, isn't it? My Grand daughter has Zero plans on learning to drive a manual. Pretty much how most of the US (United States) is going.

I find it comes and goes up here. I'm looking at a local dealer website right now and they appear to have a fairly large number of manuals; gassers and TDI.

6 months ago, I had to travel 30 miles to find one! I ended up buying it too.

Interesting. I went to Keene, NH to look at TDIs last spring and probably half the cars were manual transmission...
