One week warning e-mail

I got a very thorough and detailed e-mail from VWOA yesterday going over all the details, requirements, and payback estimate and method of payment for turning in our Passat on the 7th. I get the impression they really want this to happen.....

Turned ours in two weeks ago and it could not have gone smoother.

It was, however, bit disconcerting to receive an "reminder, you have yet to sign up for the settlement" email from VW just about an hour before receiving the email confirming our buyback appointment. It definitely was not spam/phishing.

Thats a standard email they send 1 week before your appointment. Absolutely nothing in that email changed since 2017 when they started the buybacks.
