Old Navy's Fall '06 GTG

Hey, I lived and worked in Murderapolis (Minneapolis) and know what to avoid. Probably lost more money as a college kid from scam artist 'homeless' and legal credit card pushers.
Coincidentally, I sold off half my paintball stuff for TDI parts. Yeah, I had too much of that anyways.

So what kind of 'host gift' is appropriate Walt? Have a taste for drink? Sadly I have no homebrew currently, but the local Summit and Schells are top notch. Or is it just KK donuts? Otherwise I'm a capable cook, could bring down a hotdish (ya you know you betcha')

Got the TB kit so that's ready to go. Still not sure about where to camp...nearest actual campground (for tents) seems to be about 30-45 minutes away. Is the yard actually an option, ON?

We're not so far away that we couldn't just drive in, but I want to have her there first thing in the morning for the TB change.

Go to bed early and get up early and be first one here about 6 am or like I said you can camp in the yard. If you want to camp in yard try to get here before 6 pm, never know what might be going on Friday nite. You will have your own private porta potty for when nature calls, and garden hose for a shower.

As the other "latecomer" to the timing belt list, I'll be right there nice and early with you Courtney. Hopefully we can get the hard stuff knocked off early and allow MOGolf to have a more leisurely day at the GTG.

The Westy will be park next to the outhouse. And the hose hooked to the Westy.

I will have mcolmsted set up tent on the deck side with seperate shower area.

It is secluded and under the tree's and out of prying eyes.

it can double as clean up area for the guys returning from the carwash cleaning their intakes.....

or will it be using a Pressure washer as the shower head? (it cleans and exfoliates)

My old man who contracts out at a refinery says that what they use to cut open the giant oil tanks for cleaning and maintence. Pressure cutting water.

/Opps, we seem to have cut your manifold in two sir...

If Paramedick can't made it I'll plan on getting down and dirty with my manifold first thing Saturday. I need to bring multiple cloths anyways as its going to eat up my weekend for the trip.

So is the Westy going to be set up with 'Cousin Eddie' ala Christmas Vaction?

I'm still hopeful, but the head for the Passat is not here yet.

Backup plan. If Cosmic is still coming, I'm gonna try and hook a ride with him. He lives 10 minutes away.

If I'm there, clean intakes will accompany me. Y'all bring garbage bags to put the filthy intakes in so I don't mess up the trunk of whichever car.

Did injectors on Dan's car last nite Bruce. Twist his arma little more and I think here will come to the GTG.

I helped Cosmic put a set of PP520s on his car tonight. He's going to commune with Jeff while he's there.

Oughta be a faster trip home!

I forgot to ask. Walt, do you have a floor jack and jack stands?

never can have to many tools at a GTG.

I have two floor jack's and a pair of jack stands. One is a small one for close/low work and the other is standard two ton floor jack.

Your age is showing Bruce, because you ask that same question every time before you come down.

so is jeff coming? if he is, i think i have "permission" to come down and get the golf chipped finally. a bit of a hike (900ish miles i think but i can combine it with a stop by my parents which i need to do) plus i have an old friend in STL. anyhow, i'm not the king of keeping schedules but if jeff is gonna be there i'm quite sure i'll come down....

One week to go. I'll be one the road by this time next week to buetiful Poplar Bluff. Will be bringing goodies and tools.

I am looking forward to seeing the Westy diesel.

Maybe we can rig up one of the wife's hair dryer's to it for a little more power for the return trip home.
