I know several people were asking about the ScanGauge,
I saw one very nicely Velcroed neatly to the top of some one's steering column.

They can read and clear ECU codes
They display information on your car (stuff the computer already knows) such as voltages, speed, temperatures (no egt probe, so it can't do that tho)
pretty much universal so they work on all ODB cars

More information on what they can do-

Woofie:

Bill (40 x 40) was the one who had the scanguage mounted atop his strreing column. It looked like it was meant to be there, really clean setup.

MrErlo:

Nathan (from Texas) was showing me some of the features of his Garmin GPS Nav System. That litte bugger had lots of nice features and was really trick. I think he said it was around $600 though.

I think we're all waiting on the rest of the pictures. Any chance of having them uploaded.

appologies... i've got them all at my place, just didn't upload them to my server yet. tonight is party time, but i should be able to have them posted before i head out of town on Friday at noon.

and if anyone wants a printed copy of any of the pictures, just let me know. i'll be happy to mail you one, or email you the original file so you can print it for yourself at Walgreens. btw, they have the highest quality printing around and extremely competitive pricing.

I am looking for some advice. I have been to a few GTG although it's been a few years (I am the girl that loved that cats & Colton's).
I took my car in 3 weeks ago b/c of the MIL light was on. They told me it was the coolant sensor. Well, my car is still loosing milage and shaking (but only sometimes). It is am 03 TDI and has 87K miles on it. I plan on being at the next GTG for a TB change. But in the mean time I am not sure where to begin. If there was something else wrong, wouldn't it have shown up in the computer? I am due to have the right front caliper changed and that will be done after Thanksgiving.

Thanks,
Betsy

Hi Betsy, sure I remember you. :D

Sounds like you need to call Oilhammer his web address is http://www.oilhammer.com/ and talk to him and stay away from the dealers. It will save you money and you will get the work done properly and it sounds like you need to see him soon instead of waiting for a GTG.

As for the cats, both have died since you were here. :(
