Ok, so it\'s not TDI, but...
...it is GTI! Does that count?
I'll take this message down if requested, but I have to plug the hoopty, if not just to spread the word. Yes, it's on Vortex already, too.
For sale.
One 1988 VW Golf GTI 16v, 135,000 miles.
Powerful little whipper-snapper, goes like stink, loves rpm's TDI's hate, eats GM Metro's for snacks, but fears any 115PD on the road.
Smart car; has trip computer and occasionally shows off by single wheel lifts on hard corners.
Economical car for gasser, but simply Econ-comical for us diesel folk.
Displays signs of age, droopy bumper, white paint instead of Mega Bold Ultra Chromium white, and the unavoidable drivers seat tear.
Hardly abandoned, but now pasture-ized, this fine 13 year young taut piece of autmotive toughness is chomping at the bit to get on the road again, under new management of course.
This fine example of automotive culture has undergone some surgery. It is now supported by a cast of Bilstein shocks and Eibach sport springs, which dropped him some 1.25". Other medical assistance comes in the form of enhanced breathing capacity, courtesy of K&N and Techtonics Tuning, at least from the cat back, to the tune of 2.25" diameter, stainless. Also included in the makeover was a shortshift kit. And lastly, with growth comes new shoes, these with slots and rotors from Autotech.
I love the car, but I'm moving, and I have two others to keep me company. That's more than enough when you're not supporting anyone besides your beer belly.
Again, if anyone desires me to remove the advert, I will. I understand we're all TDI troopies around here. Me too, just not of the direct type.
