Oil Filter

I'm a new owner of a 2013 Passat TDI. What brand oil filters are recommended? I just bought a Wix filter from O'Reillys. When I owned. Mercedes E320, the Mann filter was recommended. I was just curious if there were specific recommendations, or more importantly, specific brands to avoid?

I avoid fram filters, Wix makes decent filters, btw I believe the NAPA brand filters are actually made by Wix and are priced cheaper. There are other brands that are good too. You can usually never go wrong with OEM filters they are just usually more expensive.

Napa Gold filters are made by Wix, not the ordinary ones

OE filters for your car are made by MANN and Mahle. Either are good options.

^^^and in the long wrong, cost difference isn't an issue (every 10k miles...)
