looking over the list of food and what's coming, we're a bit lacking. we need some fillers: cheese burgers/brats or some form of dead animal(s), chips/pretzels, salads (pasta/potato), veggies, and condoments...unless ya'll wanna put ketchup on everything :p
so post up (on writeboard) if you're coming, and not already on the list, and let us know what you'll be bringing.

Hi Savd4one! -"or some form of dead animal(s)" - that's funny! Thinking of anyone in particular when you wrote that?! :)
Dean & I are looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Bad News

hey folks, I just got invited to a wedding the weekend of 5/10/08 so I will be unable to attend. :( Anothe one bites the dust. Doh! What was my cousin thinking!!!

So I'm going to have to pass the requirement of drinks, tent, chairs to someone else. Hopefully I'll catch up with y'all next time.

Pics this time please as I need to further torture myself on what is most certainly going to be a great time.

Yay! i recieved my fogs, and euroswitch. I put the euroswitch in and went to check the rear fog. I was getting very upset when it was not working, so i got online and checked out the how-to. Realized that i did not have the wire hooked up for the rear fog to be enabled, but had all the vag-com coding done.

SO - i need help wiring the front fogs and the switch to the rear fog, PLEASE! I will have all the tools to take the front end off, and zip ties to hold the wire in place.
Thanks in advance to whomever can help!

I'm looking foward to this GTG. Will there be anyone there who has a mildly modded ALH with a mufflerectomy? I would like to go for a ride in one to actually hear what it sounds like before I take the sawzall to mine.

I'm on it! I'll also bring a big batch of my world-famous potato salad, maybe a pasta salad as well.

I’d really like to get ‘in’ on the brake party. I am in need of rear pads and rotors. Plan on hitting up Impex or GAP in the next few days to order them (if it is okay to do the work at the GTG).

As far as what I can bring, how about a 30 pack of Miller Lite? I know it’s lowest common denominator beer, but that may be the name of the game since I don’t know everyone’s tastes. :)

I see your bringing your caliper compressor... Mind if I borrow this to do a quick rear pad and rotor install? I'd really appreciate it.

Awesome, thank you! Just ordered a rear brake kit (pads and rotors) from TDIParts.com

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Question: Will I need to bring a floor jack and stands to the GTG or will there be a lift there?

I have an unmodded 03 Jetta TDI for sale, and if anyone is interested I could drive this instead of my Golf (which is more fun to drive) so you could check it out. And if anyone wants to give me a Vagcom lesson (I have Vagcom but don't really use it) that would be great. Thanks,
Dean
