I will call the local places to see if I can get it this afternoon. Good to have a back up plan, though. Thanks bruce.

Oh man, the last thing Michelle needs is another night of having drinks made with grain alcohol! I'm amazed she made it home last time w/o yuking in my car!

funny you should bring that up.. i'm sitting at my work computer and can't even take a phone call because I have laryngitis and sound like a 13 year old pre-pubescent boy whose voice has yet to crack...

it's quite comical actually :D

(Edit because i'm an idiot and can't spell properly)

I'll be stopping by at dyno day in the morning. If I get it then, great, if not, then I'll get it the following week. Thanks.

Come on Matt, get out of that lame party and come to this one!

Well now that Dyno Day has past it is time to start getting ready for the next GTG

Does anyone have Metalnerd tool MN3001 for removing the [FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif] triangular-headed screw on the injection pump?

I'll be bringing some beer...no idea what though or how much. ;)

edit:
Is it crazy, stupied or both to attempt this at a GTG, or at all?

We've made a small addition to the house...look for a pic later. For now, let's just say that if the weather is poor, we'll be covered. :)

Sad to say I won't be making this one: Going to NoLa on Friday to pick up the new addition to the TDI family. That is unless it's still going on Sunday, in which case I can stop by on my way home.

With this crew, I wouldn't rule that out completely.

Nuke,

Is this a wrenching event? (wiper oil, points, plugs, condensor)

Minor wrenching is OK. Top off the blinker fluid, lube the muffler bearings, change the spark plugs, etc. Last time, the heaviest wrenching we did was about 5 ventectomies.

Spark plug wires? Distributor cap? What about turning on the valves for the heater core now that winter's coming? And I might want to grease the top frames.
