Jeff usually tries to do everybody on the list-he is known to work late into the night....it all depends on how well the car runs before chipping. If your car has any problems before chipping,Jeff will decide if it is the right time for a tune. Some cars are quick, some take awhile. If he does tune it,he will make sure it is running top-notch before you leave, and you will have a smile all the way home!!!!

Well if all goes well I'm going to bring an FMIC Validius so you can see for yourself. I have a feeling I'll be employing matt. my intercooler measures 29x11x3 so it's going to be quite a bit of dremel work I think lol.

I'm begging you amtt to help me out lol You're welding is to good to pass up.

I wouldn't mind meeting some more people and actually getting a couple things done i've been putting off.

-Intake Cleaning/EGR cooler delete
-I could use a GURU to possibly look over my car to make sure everything's in tip-top shape.

I'll have a FMIC installed in my car a week or two before the GTG by Whitbread if everything goes OK during install. I'm hoping to be at the GTG so you guys can see the setup/design. It's a different core then the traditional left inlet/right outlet setup, and with it being an eBay unit ($75 shipped) I guess we'll find out the hard way whether it's any good or not.

It should be interesting; doing keebler's fmic on sat and cobra's on sun before the gtg haha. Be neat to compare iat's with the slightly different setups the next weekend at the gtg. After doing two, we should have a pretty good idea of how to do it on your car Validius.

Oh boy... this is going to get interesting!

Matt, you may want to be planning to completely remake the crash bar with an IC this big.
OR
You might be able to keep "a little" of it, if keebler is 'ok' with hacking the entire bottom of his bumper cover off, and having the IC stick way down through it.

Oops, just saw that this Keebler comment from another thread, superceeded the Keebler comment above...

Keebler Quote: I think I'm going to just go with option A
(A. Core Size: 21x5.5x2.5 inch Overall size: 28x5.5x2.5 inch)

So you'll be ok now... I retract my earlier statement, hehe.

yeah scott I was measuring stuff and i was like O man this is sooo not going to work. Also, with any other larger intercooler it's going to be behind the bumper anyway so air flow won't be getting to it.

OH, it'll work... you just have to get imaginative!

You are correct, a bigger IC won't directly be in the airflow, but that still is alot more masss of aluminum that acts like a heat sink, whether it's in the airflow or not.

So long as he stays out of the vehicle after drinking his pain away! We all remember what happened last year, though said member was "supposedly sober" I'm just kidding! :p

My son has my A4 tdi jetta now and wants a tune so hopefully we'll be there. I've moved on to a Liberty CRD and have a Green Diesel Engineering tune on it:D

You should bring the liberty :). I haven't had a chance to drool over one of those yet :D. You could also pop in Jeff's loaner CRD computer in and try his tune out. Be neat to compare them.

I should be there. Will bring some minimal tools. Hoping to keep my hands clean at a GTG for once.

Well I'll be bringing an additional person. My girlfriend wants to see what my fascination with my car is lol (I don't think I even know the answer to that lol)

Just over a week away, I'm still planing on being there. Can't wait.

BTW Aaron, the Emmit House closed a few weeks back. Noticed their sign said "Closed until further Notice". Guess the economy is getting to everyone.

Hoping that someone can do a DRL delete and Windows from Keyfob mod for me while were there.

Matt, it IS nearing fast !

Finally, one of my TDI's is not broken, not completely disassembled, and has proper title and insurance... SIMULTANEOUSLY.
First GTG this has happened!

After popping my 145k mi vnt15 about a month ago, I was making strives to have the gt2256v in the 2002 for the trip to Lima.
But because of typical time constraints, my spare vnt15 found it's way behind the engine block.

I hear you scott on trying to get a car running for an event. They always seem to find themselves up in our garage with parts laying all around them right when we most need them.
