Do to some asking for a complete bypass kit that is plug and play I have come up with a kit.

The kit will be the Amsoil BMK-11 with a choice of the BE-90, BE-100 or BE-110. So you will be able to increase capacity by one quart, one and half quart or the big 2 quart. I have been running the BE-110 on my NB for a year now.

The kit will include everything you need to install. Installation should only take about one hour.

Will be a mounting bracket, oil sending unit adapter kit and the very easy to install return line that is very low profile.

This kit will be available in a couple of weeks as soon as the sheet metal shop gets me the brackets.

Here is a picture of the return line install. Just pull the drain plug and put in the ADP-106 adapter and then install the banjo fitting. The banjo fitting is custom made with the 1/4" flare fitting. This works great and will not cause any problems. This is way better than the drilled out drain plug guys were using awhile back. Its very secure and the best part is you just pull the banjo bolt out as if it was a drain plug when its time to change oil. Tha banjo assembly will available by itself for those with other systems.

I'm definitely willing to pay a premium for something pre-engineered.

I have a dual remote on my 'stroke, and results have been good but it was a PITA to install.

I'd like a bypass for my Jetta

It will be about 2 weeks yet. Will be making final adjustments this weekend then it goes to the metal shop and powder coater.

No you will not be able to use the magnetic plug.

Greg, nice job. Many will appreciate the effort and it's about time someone finally took the time to do it right.

It looks great

The filter shouldn't be horizontal but I understand that room is limited on NBs. If you use this setup, use the BE-110.

Jim, do you still have the measurements for the bracket that you used for your bypass setup? Perhaps Greg may be interested in offering both positions as options?

I will try to give it to you tonight, but if not, definately this weekend.

Greg, If you want some of my pics (not the entire post), email me & I'll send them to you. Let me know if you have DSL,cable modem or 56K so I can decide if I have to send you several different emails.

The mounting bracket (mb) is 3.25" wide and 2.5" deep. My bracket is 4" long but this is unnecessary. To mount it where I did, it's extremely important to have an angle in the mb where it mounts to the car--this allows the mb to mount flush on the car. Don't forget the backing plate.

I searched for it but the search didn't work. It's titled 'Update: Amsoil by-pass' posted August 11, 2001. Or email me & I'll send the appropriate pics.

Just an update on where things are. I spoke with the sheet metal shop today and they said I will have them no later than next Wed. So that means next Friday the should be backfrom the powder coater and ready to go.

Please let me know availability and price for the banjo fitting, bracket (does it fit a 96 Passat TDi?), and the BMK-11 kit.

Also, how much does the AMSOIL Series 3000 5W30 oil go for by the case?
