Mostly highway. I have gotten the last several fillups from Flying J in Brookville, PA. This HAS to be winter blend, the last fill was late in October. The MPG sure doesn't seem to show that. The weather has been nice for most of my runs, maybe that helps.

Was $2.869/gallon

You are allowed to put more than one fill up in a post, so long as each fill up conforms to format.

MPG: 33.8

My wife drove over 1/2 this tank, 9 miles each way, 50% town driving and various running around. Not too bad. Now have over 1200 miles on Jetta.

Jetta 2001 306k write off, 2005 Jetta TDI 70k..sold with 230k, just bought 2010 jetta so nice!
Hey, Just joined this forum and I LOVE TDI's my best tank every recorded was 1639 km's (1018 miles) and I filled 59.8 ltrs (15.8 gl) so that's good for about 3.6 l/100kms or about 64.5 mpgs. I typically record about 60 mpgs. Unfortunatly I got in a really bad accident and had to say goodbye to my long time friend, a 2001 jetta TDI

I replaced it with a 2005 TDI, and was wondering what people have been getting for milage. My best tank so far got me 4.4 l/100, or about 54 MPG's

Is this normal, worse or better than the average. As you can all tell, I am a hypermiller, so I would like those who drive the same way to respond please.

thanks so much

A Pittsburgh run and a Philadelphia run. I guess this is winterized - it sat out in way sub-freezing weather overnight Saturday night and started OK Sunday morning (the glow plugs were on a looong time and it cranked a few seconds, but started first try).

I think your mileage is right in line with other PDs. When I had my '06 Golf, my best tank was 53 mpg, driving 55-60 mph for most of that tank. My best tank in the Passat was 61 mpg, same driving style.

MPG 43.8 well I can sure tell the cold and winter diesel are here. Haven't done this bad since March.
I've posted every tank since new, 2.5 years. I think this winter I may not post.
