Yeah, but an awful lot of people have completely wrong ideas about what that notary seal indicates. I think it's generally a good change, except that the change to the law invalidates any "generic" notary block out there, and there are a lot of them. There is a provision in the law that the special box and wording aren't necessary if the document isn't going to be used in CA, but it probably wouldn't apply here.Of course, that's the definition of notarizing something
In this case, since the case is pending in CA, and the release specifies that any further action must only be in CA, they should have simply used the CA acknowledgement on the form. It's nothing that any other notary would object to.
