TDI 2.0 2012 Passat SEL.
Engine light came on a few days ago. I hadn't had the opportunity to check it out as there wasn't any noticeable performance loss.
Today the wife drove it a mile up the road. shut it off for about 30 minutes and started it up to return home. When she did the following lights came on AB, ABS, Tire Pressure and Skid control. It went into what I understand as limp mode.
I connected the scanner and it came up with P2184...Engine CTS #1 or CTS#2.
I cleared the code with the scanner. However, All the above lights mentioned above stayed on and it's still in Limp Mode. Has anyone had this problem?

Sounds like his underlying issue may not be common, however.

P2184 and possibly more.

I did see the thread you linked and I am trying to locate the cable/harness that is mentioned. I currently disconnected the battery and letting it sit for a few. Maybe it will clear the $$ (money) sign lights. Even if it does I am sure that the codes will return.
