Recognize you missed the point
I think that, if I did 'miss the point', I am able to 'read between the lines'.
You want pie-in-the-sky asking prices to use as validation for your perception of your high value of your car.

More than I need, less than I want

There are no lines to read between, I meant exactly what I said. It's seems I was pretty clear who I was referring to helping if my statement was read rather than your opinion of it. It's Your problem if you can't decipher plain English and think beyond yourself. Change your diaper and get some sleep.

Mk.4's and the Cummins
There are a couple entertaining points. One, very few low miles Mk4's turn up for sale. Either they get sucked up by flippers, or a religious fanatic gets 'em. The discussions often turn up a, 'then what is mine worth?' and inevitably a low number is thrown about. I am suspecting few would turn loose a car at the price they suggest another's is worth... :)

That BaT Green Jetta brought a few thou more than I suspected it would. Lots of exposure to the Fanatics there...it did check all the boxes too.

I guess y'all could label me a fanatic, though not yet one to throw that sort of $$ about. I'd love to find a low miles, manual, ALH, 2D Golf too. They're pretty rare bears. My Golf is a 4D, and I bet I'll be happier living with it vs a 2D. Probably going to have to build one out of a gasser. Much more 2D gassers vs TDI's. And I get to bond with it by leaking blood on it during its construction...LOL

My buddy has a blue two door golf with a ALH 250kish km. I had a chance to buy it before he did but I passed as it needed a bunch of work for the money the seller was asking. He went and got it. Maybe one day I’ll add it to my fleet.

@PakProtector - BEW is where it's at unless you're wanting to jump past 230 HP or so. Just stirring the pot here.
