looking at a ‘10 Jetta sportwagen with about 230k miles. Owner says VW America has replaced entire fuel and emissions system under warranty, but now broke down again. (HPFP, turbo, injectors, dpf twice lift pump, etc.). Is this typical? I’ve had almost the opposite experience with my 2015 GSW WITH 205k miles. It overheated once, had to change a clockspring, and CEL cycles on and off with a dpf regen frequency code, and that’s it. Changed oil every 10k, timing belt at 110k, and dsg fluid when recommended, nothing else. Am I just really lucky, is he really unlucky, or is the crua just a way better engine than the CJAA? If I get it, would it be a good candidate for a dpf/egr delete?
