Noisy Bluetooth...Help!

Hi all,
I have a problem with my bluetooth. If I'm going over 40mph or so, people on the other end of my calls say they can barely hear me over the road noise. Does anyone else have this problem? I have talked to my brother over the bluetooth in his GLI, and I hear nothing but his voice. I asked about it during my 10K service, but of course, I got the old "The computer says it's operating properly." response. I HATE THAT ANSWER!!!

There's a multitude of problems with the Bluetooth... and a few TSB's out for different issues..

Someone in the forums said if you open the top panel and flip the microphone people will hear you way better. I have not done the mod myself but its here in the forums. He said it was a great improvement.

Yes, just like joeelmex and Mrmmacd77 said, there are knows issues of this and a few minor fixes. I plan on converting to black pillars and headliner here soon so I will investigate when I have that overhead center console out and away from the roof. I'd just like to take it out completely and make it more of a directional mic for the driver. Maybe swap it for a different mic if possible.

I bought a new 2012 Golf TDI and my friends say there is so much background noise with my bluetooth connection, when I am no hwy, and they can hardly hear me. I never had this with my previous RAV4. Would anyone know of a solution?
