noise

I tried to search for this but need a quick response. I have a 2000 Jetta and a minor clicking noise has developed. It seems to come from the center air vents or dash area. A click like plastic. You would expect it from maybe the cupholders or something of that sort. But its not that. No junk in the glove box etc. Any ideas?

Same here. I have the same noise, in the same place. If I put a little pressure on the dash-board it will go away. [2001.Jetta.GLS] It will be another month or two before my 5k service. I'll check to see if the local dealership will look at it with out reaching into my pocket for $$.

My 2001 Jetta does it also, It's the side panel for the center console on mine, and only does it if I rest my leg against it.

Same for me. We have a 2000 Golf GLS. It seems to be comming from the central area of the dash.
