I am new to both stick and TDI. While driving on highway. I hear my TDI makes more noise at speed of 55-60mph and revving
at 1800-2000rpm. I also feel more vibration from the accelaration pedal. Why do you guys think this happen? Because the maximum torque is at around 1950rpm?

Diesels do not need high revs (RPM) like a gasoline engine to develop the same torque or power. So, try to keep your car in as high a gear as possible depending upon the conditions. Shifting at 2,500 rpm's is plenty. The vibration that you feel may come from the motor or from your tires. If you have the Goodyears - I would say you should rotate and balance those tires, regardless of mileage. The Goodyears stink - I have 'em.
I actually notice that my car is quieter at 65-70 mph than at 55 mph.

Also: Any vibration will be bad for your front window. The window is glued in place, and the glue is known to fail over time.

I know of at least one person who had the front window replaced under warenty in order to get rid oF a rattling sound
