no start

2012 Jetta Sportwagen. just suddenly died after running fine. wouldn't restart had it towed home.

VCDS scan shows : removed fuel meter valve perfecly clean. opened fuel filter, also perfectly clean
short to ground?? found blown 15 Amp fuse in electrical box next air cleaner. no spare.
ordered new fuel meter valve and Glow Plug Control Module from IDparts today. they are out stock 2 weeks on Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276 )and Valve for Fuel Metering (N290), so I wait... a not sure if that issues?

any suggestion?
battery is DEAD. its removed from car on on charger right now.

Is that fuse in the engine fuse box (SB)14? or (SB)24
There should be the fuse numbers molded into the plastic or some way to identify the socket for them.
The Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276) and Valve for Fuel Metering (N290) look to be powered by that fuse.
I'd unplug those two items, put a fuse back in and crank the engine. See if the fuse holds up.
There are other items on that fuse as well like a radiator fan, throttle control valve. Might try to unplug that, put a fuse in and give it a go. Clear your codes.
