2014 TDI beetle, tons of new parts all new fluids, timing belt done by reputable shop, have put probably 500 miles on it since all the work was done. Car has been running flawlessly for 500 miles. Wife started the car, got into a long conversation with her mother, shut the car back off,car will do nothing but crank now. I havent hooked up the vcds yet. I have noticed diesel on the top of the motor so i assume the injector o rings are leaking. Also, sometimes the car pops right off and sometimes it seems to crank a fair amount before starting( like 5 seconds) It has been this way for 1000 miles as this wasnt the squeaky wheel with this car. I also assume that the car needs to see a certain amount of oil pressure and fuel pressure to start? I read a post on how to manually get oil pressure by removing the sensor. Can I read fuel pressure with the vcds stuff? I have also downloaded all the erwin data on this car for reference, just dont know how to use it all. And yes the taillights are still on...lol.

maybe you could be a little more descriptive about the "tons of new parts" and for what reason they have been put onto your car?

Mostly just all new filters/fluids, brakes rotors, calipers. Timing belt water pump, coolant, battery ,tires. Just maintenence that has been neglected by previous owner. These parts have all had well over 500 miles put on them. I went to get the car with my trailer and of course it started right up. Brought it home and used the vcds. Not a single code that it didnt already have for unrelated things. Spent 40 minutes looking at info blocks and doing output tests with vcds. Nothing out of the ordinary. Have no idea why it just decided to be uncooperative. So I guess it fixed itself. This car is possessed...the end.
