Hi there guys,

This might scratch your heads.

My Golf wouldn't start, was cranking fine, found that no fuel was hitting the engine, so replaced the Vacuum Pump. car still wouldn't start.
Plugged into car and found no com's with ECU, sent away for repair, turned out it was dead (15 year old car, never mind)

Had a replacement sent back, with immobilizer off, but old immobilizer data copied over (no warning lights about it), car started straight away, but then cut out after about 2 miles of driving. then found still no power going to Fuel pump, testing relay and was fine, did swap out with new, as I had a spare.

Removed Relay, then Bridged 30 and 85, fuel pump started working, after a few cranks car started.
Putting Relay back in, car still turning over fine and again drives for a few miles, then cuts out again.

Now getting "P3338 glow control unit 1 electrical fault in circuit" = glow control unit replacement on the way.
P1640 control unit component defective, guessing this is down to the fact, the ECU hasn't been programmed for my car ?

No idea about the following ?

P1672 radiator fan: actuation 1 open circuit/ground short

P1541 electric fuel pump relay open circuit.

Get the feeling these last two is in relation to the first two

New battery installed as well, its fully charged.

Any advise Guys ?

Thanks

Nuje

Kudos for coming back to post your "solution", even if it was just "some fool forgot to replace a fuse".
So many threads open with a problem, lots of ideas and possible solutions are posted, but the OP never reports back on if / what fixed things.

Even though it was a relatively straightforward fix, simply posting back that Fuse F15 addressed the issues reported can help someone in the future.

Yup, don't you hate that, when looking for a problem, find someone with the same as you and they don't post solution.
Thanks for commenting buddy :)
