PakProtector has decided to be a car Philanthropist and is sending me a working cat.
Car won't go above 25 mph or 3400 RPM in park - If I can't fix it I will need to get rid of it!

Man I just read through the whole thread this morning while sipping my coffee. When I read this post right here I gave out an audible sigh of relief.I pulled the down pipe and revved right to redline!!!

Hear hear...My Golf is from California, my daughters Bug is from Arizona, and my other daughters Jetta is from Colorado where I'm told they do not use salt just small rocks for winter traction.So is Michigan...D-Oh! So I shop for these in the south.My '04 from Florida, son's from Atlanta and the '02 from North Carolina. Michigan cars are perhaps good for engine donation...

From my point of view if you don't stomp it at least once-per-drive you're not driving it correctly.
My daughter apparently shares the same philosophy if the lack of oil (or even oily RESIDUE!) in the pancake pipe is any indication from the timing belt and water pump job I just got done doing....
