hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

how much if you don't mind me asking? mainly curious about the rim cost.

I like them I think they would look real nice on my reflex silver.

how is the fit with the tires at 245?

The wheels were $245 a piece but I could only get them in black with machined face not the machined silver that I wanted. So I had them media blasted, powder coated silver and cleared for $100 a wheel.

The 245 tire is fine I had a little rubbing in the front on the driver side. But I figured out it was a part of the fender that wasn't completely rolled at the factory. I rolled it in myself and problem solved.

How do you like the Conti DWS? Are they quiet, good road manners? Very sharp, BTW.

Conti's good so far definitely quieter than hancooks. I only have about 100 miles on them so I can't really comment on handling. I'm also on H&R springs so that closed the wheel gap too.

I haven't liked most of the aftermarket rims on the Passat.... but those are pretty badass.

I wonder what they would look like in gunmetal or black?

anyone with PS and some time out there? Im busy...

They look nice but the tires look too big for the wheel openings, if your driving fast and are taking a corner with the wheels turned, hit a pot hole.. I can see some issues. Why not stick with the stock size of tires with 20 inch rims?? Or is that not an option?

I had consider two other tire sizes 245/30/20 which is not as tall as the stock tire but I thought that could make for a harsh ride. The other is 235/35/20 which I think is the closest to stock only alittle bigger but I thought they may have some stretch on them with the 8.5" wide rim. I'm happy with them so far they softer riding than the hancooks I had on my Bristol wheels which my HR suspension. I thought before the rough ride I was experiencing with the lowered suspension was all from the new springs but now I think a lot of it was from the hancook tires.

Not yet I plan on filling up today and resetting trip meter. Although not sure how accurate it will be since the tires are taller but I plan having the dealer adjust the speedo for the new tire size at the next service in 500 miles.

how is the effect on MPG? Any other car, i wouldnt care but that is my sole reason for buying the passat. Guess there is nothing wrong with a sweet looking ride a great MPG tho!

H&R springs are installed. Will post on MPG in about two weeks that's about how it takes me to run through a tank.

i love it but i just wouldnt do it to a TDI since i bought it for economy. great choice of wheels tho. they look classy/sporty without being over the top/ghetto. a real euro sports car look to it now. Almost like an a4 ultrasport

LOL @ Cletus' Roadside Grille. I love it!
I know I saw the car in front of that sign and thought it was funny, too. Seems like there should be a jacked up truck on mud tires there but it's my stanced out Vdub.

Update on the wheels and tires. The 245/35's proved to be a little too much in the front with the lowered suspension. They rubbed the inside of the wheel wells when I go over some bumps and dips at speed. I am swapping the tires out for a 225/35zr20. The stock hankooks 235/45/18 are 26.4" dia, the 245/35/20 is 26.8" dia and the 225/35/20 is 26.2" dia. I have noticed a slight decrease in mpgs but haven't run a tank through it yet with the bigger tires. So I think the 225's will help any mileage loss also.
