Oh Yeah!

Sign me up for the 2.5L diesel version. I would want the better MPG and the lighter front end weight of the smaller diesel for handling.

The 5.0L diesel sounds great for towing strength (O.K., eating up the competition too) but with a vehicle that small I would worry about towing handling and safety with the max load.

My Ford PSD X weighs about 8,000 Lbs. - which means I'm handling the trailer rather than the trailer handling me. If you boys tow something substantial, you know what I mean.

BTW - Is that vehicle based on the new Porsche SUV? I would suspect it will be in the same "family" but did not see a reference to that effect in the article.

Europe gets the option of 5cyl and 10cyl TDI engines... for the moment, the US gets 6cyl and 8cyl gassers...
