Vento 1.6 TDI
Hi all,
I am from India and own vento 1.6 TDI CLNA. Bought as new in July 2014. Probably my car from last batch of 1.6 TDI. Post that VW switch to 1.5 TDI.
Till today I have done 507707 KMs. Changed all four injectors this year. First change is #2 on July and rest three at November. Apart from from that regular service. Till-runs great. 100% stock.

thanks.

New to VW TDI, still lurking and learning. 2014 Passat TDI SEL, small issues I am working on. But will need to get the computer to get a better understanding of the ins and outs.
Welcome! Seeing how you're from Las Vegas, I doubt you'll be changing out your heater core 😁

I changed my heater core chasing a "running hot" all the time issue. So far hasn't helped and it wasn't really clogged, as I still got heat on the passenger side, albeit a little less than the driver side.

Next try is changing the thermostat, with the idea that it isn't opening fully.

Have had my 2014 Passat tdi sel for about 2 months now, how do I check to see if I have the CR or CKRA engine? I want to order my correct delete tunes and exhaust.

There is a sticker in the spare tire well, up against the rear bumper. It will have the engine code minus the last "A." For example, my car says, "CKR" and it is a CKRA, as all US destined 2012-2014 Passats are.

Technically, your car is a common rail (CR) TDI and likely has the CKRA engine code.

Hello everyone!
I am new here again! I had a 2000 mk4 for about 300k miles that I sold because it couldn’t make it up the road to our house in the Colorado mountains. I also had a 2012 Tiguan TDI while we lived in NZ. Amazing wagon, miss it dearly. Now, yesterday I purchased a 2011 Sportwagen in need of some TLC but with only 98k on the clock and already deleted and tuned. I have a bit of an uphill battle in order to get it back on the road and I’m hopefully up for the challenge! Excited to be back here in the forums!

AHU swapped into a 87 Vanagon Syncro
Howdy all. I just found this thread. I bought, about a month ago, a 87 Vanagon Syncro that along the way got a AHU swapped into it. This is my first VW diesel, but Ive owned diesel cummins trucks, and a diesel tractor.

She's got bit of an oil leak, but Im slowly working my way through it. Narrowed it down to the valve cover gasket, CCV puck and that little grommet that holds the CCV puck. Im also finding oil in my vacuum lines....

Suggestions on websites to order quality parts through for US address?

Any online part retailers support this site??

Hi everyone! Been a couple months on the platform and it is very informative and quite engaging. Get loads of advice and get to meet some really nice guys on here.

I'm from an island in the Caribbean called St. Lucia.
I have 4 VW's.

2017 Tiguan Rline 2.0 Bitdi
2014 Golf 1.6 TDI

There are folks, used to work with a guy, who simply have their vehicles for sale at a high price from the day they buy it.
Buyer beware I guess

2014 Jetta TDI Wagon
We got a 2014 TDI wagon a few months ago and love it. My wife barely lets me behind the wheel, lol. It's recently had the timing belt job done as well as the DSG serviced. This is our first VW and we absolutely love driving it. I've owned Audi's in the past with motors of the 1.8T, 2.8, 2.0T, and the powerful S4 2.7T, but the TDI is different. I'm now looking for another TDI wagon, but with the stick shift. Are they all 6-speeds in the Mark VI's? As I'm sure this group is aware, they are not easy to find. Glad to be a part of this group!

New here. Not new to VWs as I had a 88 Jetta GLI and a 98 GTI before having some Audi's. Bought a 11 JSW TDI 6spd in the end of 23 and slowly just sorting it out from suspension to brakes to engine. It's Stage 1 with turbo back exhaust.

New here, not to diesels though. Picking up a BEW this weekend. Lots to learn. All i know is it started its life as an auto and current owner swapped in a 5 speed. First order of business will be figuring out how to get the cruise working. Its also had a ventectomy? 1300km to a tank allegedly. Will be testing that on the 1500km trip home with it. Current diesel would require 2 fillups to the tune of $400cdn. Straight piped from turbo back. Lets see what a mkiv can do. I know I will mod it, but trying to keep smoke as close to non-existant as I can. Its just supposed to be a commuter 😂
