So I'm down in Orlando and my car kept falling on it's face on the way down. I was getting code P1557 which I wass told could be the N75 or the turbo actuator. Can anyone help me out with this or should I say confirm this. Is an N75 the same as one from a 1.8T?

Dunno if the valve is the same as the 1.8t.

I would first check the integrity of your vacuum lines to make sure none have come off.

As for the actuator, I would pull the vac line going to it from the n75, clean it off, and suck on the hose. you should be able to suck enough by mouth to make the vnt actuator move, if it is not stuck.

If that checks out, I would go to a local auto parts store and get some brake cleaner to try and clean out the valve.

Thanks a lot dude! Pretty much what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if you could clean them to make them work. I check all the lines and they all seem to be connected.

Let me know how you guys make out. I am having the same problem. Car accelerates then goes into limp mod enad I have to shut car off and turn it back on again. Does not appear to be N75 as I replaced that and same conditions.

in your case is most likely a turbo actuator getting stuck, either fully open or gettin stuck from time to time...
you just have to work the actuator back and forth with some wd40 to get the turbo vanes loose....
i had the same problem 2 years ago and that was the fix.

also after you get it to work smoothly, and italian tune job is also good from time to time to help prevent soot in the turbo vanes, hence getting them vanes stuck again

can you wd40 the actuator from above the car, or do you need to jack it up?
yes you can do it from the top, a little tighter but you can do it...
the trick is to have a shortie 14mm wrench so you can work the actuator lever up and down, until you don't feel any restraints.
