Hello TDI club!
My name is Jb and this past Friday I made one of my all time best purchases, my first ever VW and my first ever Diesel...
2011 Jetta TDI w/Nav - DSG
Options include:
*Tint
*Chrome Appearance
*Rubber Mats
*Car-go Trunk System
Picking her up:
Home with her long lost Japanese cousin:
A few things that I will say to the enthusiast/haters/fanboys. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the new Jetta. Everyone is talking about the step backwards that VW took in creating this new platform, but they forget to think about the people like me who are buying this car as a nice DD under 25k. I could have bought an A3 TDI but for a car that is made for mileage (Jetta TDI) why would I spend nearly double the cost for an Audi just to put thousands of miles on it? Soft touch interior? A multilink rear suspension that I will never put to use? Electric steering that I cant service?
People need to realize that VW 'was' well ahead of themselves, as far as options, materials, and the biggest thing PRICE, for the market segment they were trying to appeal to. To the enthusiast/haters/fanboys who think this new Jetta or any new Americanized VW has been dumbed down or cheapened up for the worse I say go pay the premium for an Audi. I would never had bought a TDI for a penny over 30k+ just to put 20,000 miles on it per year.
So far I have put just over 200 miles on the car in just two days and love every moment of it. Im here to answer any questions about the new Jetta TDI, but again keep in mind, this is my first VW, and first Diesel I have ever owned.
Cheers,
~Jb
