WELCOME to Fred's club

ME ?
3 TDI's...
2. 2 1996 B4V's(one sold), still the white wagon at home, blew turbo but no problema 'cause actually it was overdue for "POOF"...(prothe chit)
I find the 1996 Passat wagon (V-Variant in German), VERY practical but mileage/age is catching up to it after ~400K miles

1. 2013 company vehicle Passat TDi SE
83K miles and the vehicle is OK but beginning to need replacement items, struts/shocks(seems manufacturers were clumsy), DSG/tranny filter change and engine check-up are due.
TDI's are GREAT, costs less to operate and last longer :)

BTW, B4V mileage? 32-48 MPG
2013 Passat sedan w/DSG? 35-45MPG n newer :)
this with a "little" hypermiling...
