Never. Mountain biking may be fun. But it destroys the trails they’re used on.
That was directed at @whizznbyu - the little torque wrench he linked to is made by a MTB company.
BUT....having a torque wrench that goes down to 5Nm (as many cycling-focused wrenches do) isn't a terrible idea if you're wholly unsure of how tight is tight enough.

Regarding the mountain bikers destroying the trails: that is all relative. I am not sure about this, but I THINK mass clearing of wide swaths of forests to build homes might have a larger impact against the environment....
...or the a$$hats who ride their two-stroke dirt bikes.
Where I am (Vancouver Island - west coast of Canada), mountain biking is nearly a religion - most of the trails were built and continue to be maintained predominantly by mountain bikers.

Mountain and Road. Used to ride road quite a bit until the rage against cyclists escalated quickly.

That also destroys potential trails. So do fires, earthquakes and the occasional meteorite. But mountain bikes are definitely major contributors and ruin existing trails.

You meant to say E-Bikes now right?

In my neck of the woods, trails used by horse riders are surprisingly damaged. We hiked some trails this past weekend that crossed several horse trails. There was basically zero top-soil on those horse trails and any down-hill areas were gutted badly.
