I think I'll come down for this. I couldn't go to IMPEXfest - hope everyone had a good time. Would I be able to get assistance changing ball joints? And maybe control arm bushings? I've never done either.

I'd like to try to get there after work....and depending on the wife's schedule. I'm not going to be dragging the kids with me! Being a new owner, I'd like to see what everyone has done to their cars and learn from them.

I was in your area this weekend. Went to the Enfield library book sale.

Also went to the NE air Museum since I was in the area. Hadn't been there since I went with my father in 1985. Neat place. Easy ride from eastern MA and worth the trip.

They have a B-29 wing in the museum. Much larger plane than I expected.

If anyone is looking for something to do this weekend, they'll have the last flying B-29 along with a B-24 and P-51.

June 17 is Open Cockpit Day.

I'm new to the site and would definetly like to network with some other owners and club members. Past GTG's I have held and been to, have been a great learning exp for me. Plus it gives me a really good reason to shine'r up real nice like.. :D

This is SO TRUE! If you know that you're going to be attending a GTG, no self respecting owner of a TDI comes to it dirty (and you know who you AREN'T!). Keeping your car clean is the first step toward keeping your car, period.

Please do! I want to see his Rabbit TDI!
what about my mk2? :(
He was just here in the Rabbit: headed to Minnesota in it. I suspect he'll be back in time.
He is back..he had a hell of time coming back...was a long distance shake down run ha ha
Seriously, go bang on his door, pull him out from under the Scirocco, etc, whatever you have to do.
This is exactly what it takes to get him to leave his house!
Get a pole, tie a can of Coors Light or PBR to it. Dangle it in front of him. Move it away from him, towards TooRoundTDI's house. Continue until you've arrived at TooRoundTDI's house.
Good idea, but I feel bad tempting the devil so to speak...what ever it takes to get him to go to a gtg! What a hermit!
I will be going as long as I get my GTI back together after the rear-ending incident...slowly but surely getting the parts together. Mk2 Golfs are getting hard to find in the junk yards around here.

Will there be a separate food thread? I will bring some cookies, salad, and a box-o-joe, for starters.

My passport will be ready Just-In-Time hopefully. So if all goes well I'll be there!

What do I bring ? I still can bring disposable utensils, glasses, plates towels and such.

watch this thread and Tim will post up the address and then show up. Also look for a food thread and bring something to eat or drink. And of course there is the secret handshake...

Not sure what I can bring to eat given Im coming from Virginia, don't know what I can bring that won't spoil on a 11 hour trip.. I mean Im fine with not eating if it comes down to it because I may only hang out for a few hours because Ive got to be back at work Monday morning in Virginia and id like to meet up with a few friends in Massachusetts I haven't seen in a year or two ...

Many of us don't make something, but stop local and get something: 12 pack, soda or dogs or burgers or plates or chips or coffee or you get the idea.

Hey, where is the food thread??
