I was wanting to run my car at the track before the end of the season and wanted to see if anyone else was interested in making the trip to Epping. Street nights are wed. and fri. nights 5pm to 10pm.

I think its $35 for unlimited runs (as time allows), car must be registered, inspected, and pass their own safety inspection. One item that is pertinent to our cars is that your clutch cancel switch must be working in order to pass THEIR tech. inspection. Other than that, its pretty much the same as a state safety inspection.

I will as soon as I fig out the rapping noise from my engine...Got any AHUs or 1Zs for sale? I haven't narrowed it down yet but when I do I may need a fresh start..

Their tech inspection is a joke. I went with my Challenger and they didn't do hardly anything before waving me on. That said, it was fun to run on the track. My launch technique sucks, so the best I could do was a 15.9 1/4 mile in my 3.5L Challenger.

It all depends who you get, just like state inspections.

Eek, wrapping motor.....I just dont trust 1Z's any more....I have some hard parts here, but no complete motors.

I'll be running my car at the test & tunes Sept. 17 and again on Oct. 8.

I'm not interested in racing, but this track is only about 20 minutes away so I'd stop by to say hi and watch the runs if there was a TDI contingent there and I was around. I've never actually been there. So please post up if you end up doing this.

I'm running stock for a baseline before tuning it, you may very well be faster than I am. Come out tomorrow and we'll run. haha

Unfortunately I only had time for one run at the test and tune this past weekend before I had to leave for work, so I'll be heading up tomorrow night after work for street night. Maybe I'll see some of you there, I've got the black 2 door mk6.

i drive by it each day, sadly i don't really have any interest to know that i still have a slow car compared to those that would be there.

Its $20 for street night, didn't see anyone there. Ran 12 passes with an average 16.686 sec, best time was a 16.354 sec. Average trap was 83.935 mph, with best being 84.41 mph. Average 60' was 2.714 sec, best 2.486 sec. I'll post slips if anyone cares to see.

Well I have been doing a lot to make my 1Z an AHU...rebuilding the head with 7mm valves, ALH pistons...
