I think that the settlement warrants its own forum. There are so many permutations and nuances to it. Trying to follow the discussion about one small part of the offer is impossible in one long thread.

For example, I want to discuss section XII (Warranty), subsection N. I want to see if this gives me the option to take the repair, then change my mind 17 months later and force VW to buy the car from me. It appears it might. But I'm not sure.

I'll discuss this with Fred. Chances are that it won't happen, since we are coming up on a large forum migration to new software in the coming weeks.

Personally I think this would be VERY useful. The large thread is impossible to follow for specific topics of valid discussion.

Thanks for talking with Fred about it.. but wanted to weigh in that yankinwaoz isn't the only one asking for this.

+2

Not to mention half the posts in threadzilla were by a handful of unemployables talking about goats, hybrids, batteries and what not.

Ive gotta agree.. my thread on salvage/rebuilt/total loss vehicles was closed. I was just trying to keep the handful of us out there on topic.

Can you imagine trying to extract any information from just one thread? Its impossible to keep/follow anyone on any one topic with that many voices in one thread.

The main thread turned into 50 pages long within 10 hrs of being started. Already way too long to start fumbling through for answers. TOTALLY POINTLESS!!

Alright, email sent. We'll see how things go! :)

I'm also moving this thread to the forum help & suggestions section.

This guy is voting for Trump. The crowd on TDI club has changed.
The crowd on TDIClub has been pretty evenly split for a long time. We have right wingers, left wingers, and everything in between... from all over the world. Let's appreciate the diverse community without taking wild digs at one another.

Well, I am an ex tdi owner and now have a 2011 MB e350 bluetec. I wonder if the suit against mb will progress the same way?
