With the DTC issue I had with Malone it would still be worth flashing back to stock to see what faults you get. If you have an injector circuit fault it would be nice to know...

No need to de pin to check the circuit. A back probe and scoping the injector would likely be the most comprehensive check, but checking with a multimeter is a good first step.
How do you contact Mark and Owain? I've been trying to use the flashzilla ticketing system but it's more or less useless. I just want to call one of them to set up an appointment.

I used the ticket system. They advised me to flash back to stock, I used the flashzilla to do so myself.

I used the whitbread CP3 conversion. My only 'complaint' is the aluminum pulley wrench could be steel, but it would be easy enough to build a steel one if needed. The kit itself is great.

I just realized that the cylinder that isn't firing is the one I put new lifters in... not sure if that could be related or not.

Turns out it was. I had wrongly purchased the TSI lifters which have a higher lift - holding the valves open under oil pressure.
There was no contact that I could tell... I never heard anything alarming at least.

500km in now and everything seems ok with the correct lifters. Great oil pressure with the CJAA pump mod I did.
I need to change the oil now and change the water for some 50/50.
I'm really amazed at how quiet the engine is now. At idle it doesn't move at all which is really cool to see.

After I change the oil and put 50/50 in, I'll do some logging. I think it's running very lean. Under no circumstance is there any visible exhaust so I think I can tune a bit more aggressively. I did not use the nitrous yet. It sounds slightly louder under full load now.

Something worth noting with the stock sized cr140 turbo is that the boost is instant and I'm seeing very good economy so far. 5.5-5.8 L/100km
