I got the newer BRM valve cover from IDparts. It is revision K, while my original was rev D. The new one has two PCV diaphragms, which are under the two equal-sized caps at the top. There are also two reed valves inside instead of one. There are two PCV air chambers inside, and they each have a pronounced slope downwards, presumably to help oil drip back down into the engine. The old one has a long chamber with a flat bottom, and I can imagine oil pooling on the flat surface and getting carried out by pulses of air.

The valve cover came with a gasket, screws, oil fill cap, and grommets for the engine cover pins. The new gasket has a raised bump at each ‘corner’ where the cover goes around the cam bearings at both sides. These sharp corners are most prone to leaks.

I haven’t had it installed long enough to check whether it has made difference in the oil getting into the intake. I’ll have to give an update on this later.
