Im thinking of replacing the Toyota 2L diesel in my Suzuki Samurai with an IDI 1.9 liter VW diesel. Ive got a 2001 TDI Jetta but I dont know much about the IDI motors. What can I do to improve power with that set up?

Are there injectors? Bigger turbos? Suggestions please.

The idi engine are all mechanical as you probly already know. This makes it much easier for performance upgrades. You don't really need new injectors for performance although they do sell GTD injectors which are supposed to flow a little more.
The most common performance upgrade for those engines are to put the LDA pin from a 1.6l idi to your pump for this one pin is steeper and provides more fueling when more boost is requested.
Bigger turbos aren't as necessary due to the fact that the one on there should provide you with 20 inches already.
So I guess what i'm getting at is what are you looking for in power output in the first place?
