Hey everyone, just got my first TDI. It’s an 09 Jetta. Previous owners were pretty sketchy on maintenance and repairs. I am trying to chase down some electrical issues. I have not been able to find any diagrams on the web that match up what is on this car. Fuse amperage and locations are quite different. If someone has a stock 09 that could post some pictures I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Mark

I'm looking to see if I can find the specific one your car uses...

But again, what issue are you having?

My first priority has been to get the radiator fans to work properly. The car had front damage when I got it. At first they didn’t work at all, traced that back to a blown 50 amp fuse on the vertical face of the fuse plate. Now the big fan runs continuously, only goes off disconnecting the battery. Small will kick on and off with A/C use.

classic fan controller symptoms replace the large fan.

Yep, sounds like it needs a new fan. The controller is integral with the left (large) fan. These are pretty common, dealers will typically have them on the shelf.... but be sitting down when you get the price.

You can certainly try your luck with some Thank You China branded ones.

Hi guys I just saw this thread and these images match my fuse box but I can’t find anywhere what the fuse numbers mean. I have a high amp drain that goes down dramatically if I remove fuse F8. What is this fuse? So hard to find a diagram with labels! I’ve searched and found done links but they’re all dead out don’t have the info I need. Currently working on a new to me 2012 JSW
Thanks!
