To reset your scr lockout mileage counter try this in vcds; engine, security access, the code is 12233.click do it. Ive never had to do it but i had it ready just in case. i spent a while driving around with my laptop in the car just in case. 19k trouble free miles and I just got updated to the latest tune. all of my sensors are in the pipe and def still in tank. i think even after the latest tune ive still heard the in tank def pump running after shutdown
Are you driving with a similar set up it still stock?

I have stage 2 dpf delete with all sensors installed in the pipe. It was the first one successfully done on a passat that we know of

Ok. Did you go DD or Rawtek?? I'll have to pass this info on to Les. He will have my ECU Monday.

Do you know anyone that used the 12233 code successfully??

Haha hes the one that gave me that information unless he found out that it doesn't work or something. I dont know if he ever used it successfully or not but im guessing he had because he ran into another car before mine that went into lockout

Haha well I'm betting it doesn't work unless he's holding out and draining my wallet:) his manual way that I mentioned earlier is the only way he has been able to clear them without having to put stock exhaust and tune back on.

I will look at mine, and see if the code works tomorrow. I don't have the delete, but delete or not it should let me put the code in....

How does logging into the engine controller reset the counter? Is there some other step that you left out or is that it?

this isnt a permanent fix, this is just to buy you time. After you enter the security code go to basic settings use the drop down menu. there you can reset scr tank level detection and scr lock. from what i remember the ecu and scr module pull numbers from eachother and you need to reset both at the same time so there is no information for either to go on. im not sure what else was done via vcds to make mine work long term. Work with Les he knows his stuff

Im wondering if you have a faulty sensor causing you problems somehow because they still need to be plugged in with the delete

are you referring to a sensor with the urea tank or just sensor in general unplugged during the swap??

Will there be any sensors that are disconnected for the swap that do not get reconnected??

by swap i mean the install of the downpipe set up

All of my sensors are installed. The only thing disconnected is the exhaust flap. I know when I had mine done Les advised me to bring the car to him because there are things that need done simultaneously in vcds and to the ecu. I dont know if he has done any successfully through the mail or not yet. im not sure what all has been accomplished with the newer tunes.

I wish you all would hurry up and figure this out, so I don't have to be a guinea pig and test this out.

I have all my sensors and I think i will try this tonight and see what happens as I only have just over 300 miles till no start....good thing I'm buying a second car on Friday...I guess.

Veedub what are you thinking about the DEF??

Les called today. I had the immobilizer done to my ECU so he could put it in his car and try to clear light. Well ignition turned on but car wouldn't start!!

I almost feel like giving in and going back to stock. I haven't had my car in almost 3 weeks very frustrating!!!

Well you were surfing in uncharted waters with an illegal modification, can't say you were not warned by members of this forum. As for buying the car with a DPF delete tune with a stock exhaust as is said buyer beware.

My codes:

P2047 reductant injector bank 1
P0470 Exhaust pressure sensor malfunction
P2452 DPF differential pressure sensor
P208E reductant injector valve stuck closed
If you clear these codes, which ones come back immediately?

Are all of your sensors hooked up in the exhaust pipe or are some of them unplugged?

One thing that comes to mind is that your DEF injector may have gotten plugged with soot (since you no longer have a DPF trapping that soot) and gotten stuck closed.

Coffeemade: What codes do you have stored in your computer? I wonder if you have P208E, too.

None...2011 Golf DSG (replaced by VW W/) 2013 Passat SE 6M(bought back) Current 2017 sportwagen TSI 4Motion.
If a sooted up def injector is the case here and programming it is out of the question, would routing the injections back into the tank as a closed loop be a possible solution ?

According to the shop they all come back immediately. I can double check that first thing in morning.

I will also double check sensors in the am as well. Should any be left unplugged or so they all plug back in??

Les mentioned the clogged injector possibility. Where is that located and can you check that manually fairly easy?? If it's clogged what can I do unclog it??

I think everything needs to be plugged in.

The DEF injector looks like this...

That was helpful!

I agree not too smart on the tune part. I still think that is the tuners fault. No tuner in their right mind should have put a delete tune on a car that still had the stock stuff in place.

Overfilled it, so it's full :-(

I don't have any codes, I had a professional tuner work on my car and I made sure to ask all the right questions so I know what are my possible outcomes. Hopefully I will have a resolution tonight/tomorrow.

This is a great video that I feel anyone modding a car should look at. I am very happy with the tuner I used and the level of customer service is amazing. Volks & Rings in Newport News is awesome.

What frustrates me the most about this, you think something like this is tested for years. I know I'm the 2nd NMS Passat with a DPF delete, so I know I'm a guinea pig but to get the results I have I think it is worth it. Someone had to be the first and I'm the second, I know there is more that have followed.

Your car is counting down but there are no active codes?

Yup, but it will be fine.

I've talked to Les two times, and yes I'm running his downpipe, but he is NOT a Malone tuner. He does manufacture great downpipes, but all the work was done by the shop.

I'm sure this issue will be resolved in time, at least mine. Should be as simple as flashing it from Stage 2 DPF delete to Stage 2 without the DPF delete and that should allow it to see the new DEF level.

I am sure Malone will update the flash, but I give him mad props for figure how to perform a DPF delete because companies much bigger than him still haven't gotten a good tune.

Malone was the first and like anyone who has the first product, sometimes there will be a bumpy ride. My just likes to beep and flash and tell me how many miles I have left until it won't start.

Huh I was under impression Les was a dealer for Malone. He has flashed mine with Malone tunes more than a couple times.
