so i picked up this tdi a few months back, right now it has a bad dpf, i have a check engine light, and flashing glowplug light. its very slow, not in limp mode, but sluggish. I'm looking to delete it so i can have full power, what is the best way to go about it? I'm looking to do it as cheap as possible as I'm still a teen and don't have consistent income. rawteks kit + a tune is about $2000 which i don't have right now, but i will in a few months time. i also looked into doing a hood stack for the time being, what all do i need to do a hoodstack? im fairly new to tdi's, so just looking for some advice. should i try a hoodstack or wait a few months til i can afford the whole delete kit? thanks!

I just bought one of these with 140k miles. It's "sluggish". Gets up to hwy speeds but has trouble on hills. Need to drive it 6 hrs from Utah to my place in Montana. Maybe I should trailer it home. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Have you scanned it with a VCDS
Have you changed the fuel & air filters?

Thank you for your help.

I haven't seen the car yet. I bought it without seeing it or running a scan or anything like that. I know when the emissions system was serviced in the last year. I know the fuel filter was recently replaced. The guy I bought it from had another guy that was interested in buying it and ran a scan. The memory of the seller says that the scan picked up codes for particulate filter... I I suspect it's the particulate filter sensor but I'm basing that on this video and a hunch. It's probably safest to trailer it back home.
