so while removing my six-speed manual transmission for the second time (after replacing dmf, clutch disc, pressure plate, and slave cylinder/throwout bearing) to try to better bleed the slave cylinder (what an awful design!!) this washer fell to the ground. I'm not sure if it came out of the transmission housing or if it was already on the ground because it had fallen off something else. the something elses could be the drive axles and flanges or shifter linkage things. I'm pretty certain it is not a crush washer from the transmission drain or fill plugs. the washer has some pretty deep grooves in it. it also had some translucent yellow grease on it that looked pretty clean. definitely grease vs. transmission fluid. so what the heck is this washer and where did it come from!???
