I have a 2015 Passat TDI SE 6MT. It has 15,000 miles and one prior owner to me.
The car is great...except for a mysterious, intermittent starting problem.
Once in awhile the car will not start and tells me to depress the clutch pedal. Obviously the clutch pedal is fully depressed when this happens. I don't get any error codes.
I either have to pump the clutch pedal repeatedly with the ignition in start or wait 15-20 minutes in order to be able to start the car.
Highly frustrating as you can imagine!
Thinking it was an issue with the clutch pedal safety sensor, I ordered
1K0 927 810 D. However, according to my research this sensor is connected to the CANBUS and there should be some kind of error message if it is not functioning correctly.
I have an appointment at the mechanic tomorrow to swap this part.
Am I on the right track, or does someone have a better idea?
