my tdi wont pass emissions!!

Ay guys. i got a mk6 tdi and about 3 weeks ago i tuned my car to stage 2. after that i went to get my emissions tested and it got rejected, i have stock exhaust btw, i called my tuner and he removed the tune. went to get my emissions tested again still rejected, the emissions guy said drive it for a while and come back. i drove aboyt 500 hard miles and went back and its still rejected. what should i do

There are just too many to list....
Keep driving it until the readiness is set.... it may take a few thousand miles, they can be pretty finicky.

And to answer your next question, read here:


The CR TDIs will need to complete both the DPF and deNOx catalyst full regenerations completely for all the readiness to set. That can take a while.

if it was previously tuned would it impact the readiness monitors and the dsg tune is still on the car would that impact it

Assume your tuner wont set readiness. It took me 800 miles of trying. Here's a thread with some conversation about long long waits for readiness.

You should buy a very cheap obd scanner just to check the obd readiness. A VCDS is better with more info (although no real help in this issue), but the inspection only cares about the obd settings. The cheap ones will let you know if you pass readiness or not.
