I purchased this car in April of this year pre owned by a guy who was moving to Europe. The car had about 45,800 miles on it when I purchased it. It has been flawless. The car was very well kept, and I plan to do the same. As stated above I added the 6 disc CD changer, the keyless entry system from Volkswagen, and the white headlights. I love the car, and spend most of my free time in it. I dont have a long commute to work, but going to school 30 miles away should start making the mileage benefit really pay off.

Hopefully, someday I'm going to get one brand new off of the lot.

dzcad90,

Nice car! Looks like you take really good care of it. May I ask what wax/polish you use? Nice shine.

Actually right there it hadn't been waxed for about 3 weeks..

I use Meguiars Cleaner Wax on an orbital waxer. I wash it faithfully at least once a week.

I agree with DEZLBOY. Nice car. Gotta ask, though -- why the keyless entry?? You could've dieseled around for about a year for the money it costs for that system. Is it really worth $400 not to have to use a key?

He bought it used. There aren't many used TDIs around, so you take what you can get.

All '99 and Y2K Volkswagens have power locks and keyless entry, as well as theft deterrent alarm systems. It's no longer an "option".
